Forrester
I’m thrilled that we’ve been rated a Leader in the newly published Forrester WaveTM: Microsegmentation Solutions, Q3, 2024. This is a significant upgrade from our Strong Performer status in the 2022 report. The Wave is the result of a rigorous evaluation of microsegmentation vendors measured along 23 criteria, and we were rated by Forrester with the highest possible score in eleven of those categories. GigaOm
The GigaOm Radar for Microsegmentation published in April ranked ColorTokens as a Leader, and we received the highest overall score of all vendors in the Key Features comparison. They recognized the completeness of our approach to protecting all possible points of breach, saying, “…ColorTokens’ microsegmentation solution is extensive with multiple integrations, and agent-based, network appliance, and agentless deployment models. Gartner
Gartner cited us as a Representative Vendor in their Market Guide to Microsegmentation last year, and now, in the last two months, in their Hype Cycle for Cyber-Physical Systems Security, Hype Cycle for Zero Trust Networking, and Hype Cycle for Enterprise Networking. Gartner characterizes the benefit of microsegmentation well, saying, “Once a system is breached, attackers move laterally (including in ransomware attacks), which can cause serious damage. Microsegmentation seeks to limit the propagation and spread of such attacks. It can greatly reduce the initial attack surface as well…It is one component of zero-trust architecture that controls the access between workloads and is used to limit lateral movement, if and when an attacker breaches the enterprise network.”
Constellation Research
In their recently published ShortList™ report, Constellation Research presented the top vendors to consider out of a universe of 34 microsegmentation solutions. They also included ColorTokens in their Healthcare Cybersecurity shortlist. We think that they characterized the benefits of microsegmentation well in their report by saying: “Traditional security approaches often fall short when an attacker gains access to one area of a network. Microsegmentation creates smaller, isolated segments, preventing attackers from easily moving laterally within the environment and accessing critical resources.
